Alternate Source for Condenser Fans on Supreme Light Duty Buses

The Supreme buses use three fans on the side condenser and these fans fail due to the severe conditions they are in during the winter months. Cost of the fans from Supreme are about $135.00 each, plus shipping. This fan requires an adapter for installation (furnished) and the electrical connector (plug) has to be changed (not furnished). We have found an EXACT replacement fan at Advance Auto Parts for <$55.00 (no shipping charge which requires no adapter and the electrical connector is correct. We have replaced about 15 fans so far this year. Hopefully these replacement fans will have a longer life expectancy but, at 1/3 the price of the Italian fans furnished by Supreme, at least we save nearly $100.00 on every fan we replace.

Here is the information on the fans:

a. They are sold through Advance Auto Parts (used to be Parts America, Western Auto) and their other subsidiaries. Try an Internet search on Advance Auto Parts and it will provide their web site w/their subsidiaries.

b. The fans carry part number 226110 and are distributed under the Imperial Automotive Products brand. However, it appears that they are actually manufactured by Hayden Automotive that is an American company that manufacturers automotive coolers and condensers under number P-1261101S (Rev. 3/00)
