| JARC Grant Application Guidance Eligible JARC Projects include: 1) New Service designed to overcome
transportation barriers for low-income people seeking employment;
2) Capital required to start new services; or 3) Continuation of
previously funded JARC service. All projects must be programmed
in the FY05 State Transportation Improvement Program.
JARC applications must contain the following information:
Two copies
of your local Job Access/Reverse Commute Transportation Plan,
along with evidence that the project you are applying for
is contained in the plan
Authorizing Resolution
(from designated Transit System's Board of Directors)
JARC Grant
Proposal Application Form
(one for each individual project)
Budget - listing funding
amounts from all match sources
Public Participation documentation - Publication
Notice, affidavit of same, and public hearing minutes
FTA requires that each JARC project must be developed
through a combined transportation and human services
planning process. FTA provided basic guidance on the
JARC planning process as part of
FTA Circular 9050.1, page V-1.
