| Organizational
Structure: The Transit Director administers the Sioux City Transit System. The Director reports to the City Manager. A five-member Transit Advisory Board provides counsel and direction for capital improvements, budget, and operational activities. The City Council acts upon the recommendations of the Transit Director and the Transit Asvisory Board. |
| Special Features/Highlights: Sioux City Transit provides elderly and disabled service to persons with specialized transportation needs. The Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) is the third party contractor for this para-transit service. New Freedom Nights and Weekends Program: A discounted voucher may be purchased by Certified Para-Transit riders to arrange rides with three different private sector transportation vendors after 6:00 PM and all day Sunday |
