FY11 Application Package Now Online 12/10/2009

We have posted our FY2011 application package out on IATRANSIT.COM.  This includes the updated programming guidance for vehicles, as well as the funding projections for STA and 5310/5311.  Note that because there is not yet an FY2011 appropriation at the federal level, the projections for federal funding have been based on the state-wide totals received last year.  Once an appropriation is passed and FTA publishes new apportionments, the individual figures for 5310/5311will be updated.  Since STA payouts are based on each system’s share of actual revenues received, as established by the STA distribution formula, that figure will always be a projection.  Note also that, although the Public Transit Infrastructure Grant program is dependent on annual appropriations at the state level, in order to avoid the loss of an entire construction season, we will be accepting applications for that program as part of the annual consolidated transit funding applications due May 3rd , in anticipation of another year of funding being approved.

Please work with your planners to make sure that your FY2010 candidate projects are justified and recommended in your area’s Passenger Transportation Plan, and programmed in the FY2011 year of your area’s Transportation Improvement Program, as this is a prerequisite for us to consider your applications.  You should also be planning to schedule your public hearings on your consolidated application sufficiently ahead of the May 3rd due date so that all documentation can be included in your application submission.

The application package can be reached directly at http://www.iatransit.com/resources/applications.asp.
